To IM on your PSP, you do not need to download anything extra onto your PSP or even pay a penny, but you must have a Wi-Fi connection. There are actually several websites that you can type into the PSP web browser to connect to your favorite IM datbase.
But, I have narrowed it down to the 2 best websites:
eBuddy
http://www.ebuddy.com/mobile/ (AIM, Yahoo, MSN)
eBuddy Q & A:
1. How do I send a message?
Click on a buddy to go to a chat screen. Click on WRITE to send
What is Automatic Update?
2.eBuddy automatically reloads the page to check for new messages. You can switch auto update off, this saves some data traffic and battery life, but you must click RELOAD to see new messages.
3. Can I use emotions?
Yes. If you want to see emoticons, go to the SETUP menu and click SET EMOTICONS/ICONS ON.
AIM on PSP
http://www.aimonpsp.com/ (AIM)
Note for AimonPSP.com:
- If you forget to sign off before closing the window or exiting the browser, your screenname will still be logged in from our server. You can sign yourself out here.
- It is recommended that you turn off caching (or put it to the lowest setting for your PSP) in your browser to ensure that your IM window stays up-to-date.
Just go to the PSP web browser and go to one of the two options to instant message on your Playstation Portable!
