Okay, for those of you you are thinking:

"Why would I want to read books on my PSP?  I don't even read books anyways!"

You should pay attention.  Let's just say you have to read a novel for school and you left the book at school.  Or you wanted to catch up on the reading while on the bus ride to school.  This is a simple guide that tells you how to read full books on your PSP easily, whether you want to reread a favorite, or skim a boring book that you were supposed to read for school.

Simple directions on how to read books on your Playstation Portable:

1. Go to your PSP's main menu and go as far right as possible to the "Network" icon. Open up the internet browser.  Make sure you have a Wi-Fi connection in order for this how-to to work successfully. To obtain an internet connection on your PSP see How to Establish an Internet Connection on your PSP.

2.  After you are online with your PSP, type http://psp.manybooks.net/ into the address bar at the top of the browser and click "Enter" after you typed in the site.

3. Choose a book from the "Categories", "Most Popular", "Authors", "Titles", "Languages", or "Recommended from readers" links.   Unfortunately, there is a chance that the book you want may not be anywhere on the website.

4.When the book's page has loaded, Position the cursor over the download arrow:   Then, use the Triangle key to display the PSP browser menu.

5. Select "Save Link Target" from the first pop-up menu, and save the file to your Memory Stick. You can open the saved file using the browser's location field, for example: "file:/psp/common/filename.html" .  If I were you, I would give the file a more memorable name, being sure to leave the .html part. I saved The Odyssey by Homer as Odyssey.html.

6. Create a bookmark to the saved file for easy access.

7.Wait while the file downloads. When the download is completed you can disconnect from the wireless network if you want to save battery power (books can take some time to complete). To view your book press "Triangle" then "Up Arrow". Press "X" to jump to the text entry screen and key in file:/psp/common/[filename].html changing [filename] for whatever you chose to save your book as.

6. Have some fun reading away! To scroll down the document, use the arrow keys or the joystick+square.
