There are two ways to put YouTube videos onto your PSP.  The first way is if you frequently visit Youtube and always want to download videos to your PSP, not only from YouTube, but from Metacafe, iFilm, Dailymotion, and more!  But, the second way is just to download a video maybe here and there.

Method #1:

1. This is the method i recommend and use myself because it is much simpler and staight-forward.  First, you must download the Firefox Web Browser.   To download Firefox for free, click the below button.

2.   After you have successfully downloaded Firefox, you have to download an add-on for the browser.  To download the add-on visit https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/

3. Instead of boring you with words, you can just watch this short video telling you how to download the video at http://videodownloader.net/help/vd04.htm . Remember , before you download the video via the Firefox web browser, the video has to  be fully loaded first.

4. Once the download is complete, right click on your downloaded video and change the name from get_video to "get_video.flv" (no quotes). You may be asked if you're sure you want to change the file extension, and you should click "Yes" if asked.

5. Next go to TVC's homepage and click on "Free Download". Save the file to somewhere on your computer and then double click the icon and follow the installation instructions.

5. After the installation of "Total Video Converter" is complete, run the newly downloaded program.  Locate the "get_video.flv" video you downloaded earlier and drag the video into the Total Video Converter's Track List Window by holding the left mouse button down.

5.  A screen should pop up and choose "PSP Mpeg4" from the list.  Click on "Convert Now" and wait while your video is converting to the PSP format.

6. Connect your PSP via USB cable and Select (USB) under (Settings) in the home menu of your PSP. Press X.  Your computer will indicate that it detects the Memory Stick Duo/PSP. Locate the drive of your PSP and double-click on the MP_ROOT folder. You'll now see a selection of folders, one of which is called 100MNV01. Open this folder by double-clicking on it with your mouse.

7.You can now save or drag and drop video clips into this folder, either individually or in their own sub-folder. Once transferred, press O on your PSP and go to the Video icon on your PSP's home screen and press X to view the videos you just transferred

Method #2:

1. Begin by finding the video on http://www.Youtube.com that you would like to to place on your PSP.  Now go to the address bar and copy (or Ctrl+C) the link of the video's address.

2. Next head on over to www.YouTubeX.com and paste ( or Ctrl+V) the video's URL into the main box in the middle of the page and click on "Get Video".  Be patient and soon the "Download" icon will appear underneath the "Get Video" link.  Click on the "Download" link and save the video where you like on your computer.

3. Once the download is complete, right click on your downloaded video and change the name from get_video to "get_video.flv" (no quotes). You may be asked if you're sure you want to change the file extension, and you should click "Yes" if asked.

4. Go to TVC's homepage and click on "Free Download". Save the file to somewhere on your computer and then double click the icon and follow the installation instructions.
